Alprazolam is also known under the trade names Xanax, Xanor and Niravam. Xanax is a short-acting benzodiazepine used in the treatment of moderate to severe anxiety disorders, panic attacks, and anxiety coupled with depression. Xanax (aka Alprazolam) has assisted thousands of americans, and people worldwide, in living normal stress free, and anxiety free lives. Alprazolam is available in an extended release form as well, and is known as Xanax XR. Both Generic Xanax (Alprazolam) and Pfizer Brand Xanax are available in XR form, and with no prescription. While Xanax XR no prescription is not as popular, or as prescription as a prescription drug from doctors both are equally effective at treating anxiety disorders in the brain. Alprazolam is habit forming and long term use can and likely will lead to dependance. Stopping benzodiazepines suddenly after long term use will result in withdrawal symptoms. It is recommended if you do purchase xanax, only do it for a short period of time. Alprazolam can be highly addictive and may lead to serious depression episodes.
